KS1 Workshops

Arctic Adventure – New for September 2017

Take a beautiful musical journey across the Arctic in the company of young Inuit Aguta and the animals he meets. Children will explore different rhythms and sounds and decide which ones best describe the animal and habitat.

Treasure Map

Join us as we embark on a mysterious journey searching for hidden clues, which will lead us to the buried treasure. Using different modes of transport we travel around the island fueled by well-known tunes. The clues are in the form of shapes which have challenges attached to them. It’s a race against time to find the treasure before the wicked Captain Black eye.

KS2 Workshops

New for September 2017 – Sounding Out Shakespeare

Listen to live music from Shakespeare’s time (1564 – 1616), including Greensleeves, and explore how the instruments played then compare to modern instruments.

Carnival of the Animals (Yrs 3-4)

Did you ever wonder what our animals and birds would look like to creatures from another planet? We meet two space travellers and help them discover animals and birds using clues in poetry and music. Through musical elements and poems we explore how the animals move. During this interactive presentation children will have opportunities to sing and play with our professional musicians. The poems have been written exclusively for this presentation by Kim Moore, an award winning local poet.

Bespoke packages or previous themes are also available upon request.
